With a scene loaded in Cinema4d choose "Qube! Submit (AppFinder)" This will present a pre filled submission UI. Ensure sections marked in red have the correct details. Should also set: expert mode, slots = threads and set to 8 (like maya) could choose render on all cores, but that's less efficient if you have lots of cores. Have to set the version - should be set based on the one you are submitting from, but check it. retry variables as before. | While not strictly required, the following settings are useful for getting a better result. You will need to turn on "Expert Mode" (check box at the bottom of the submission UI) in order to get access to them. - Although you can choose "Render on all cores" as a setting, for machines with large numbers of cores (>8) this is less efficient. Instead, set the "Slots = Threads" checkbox and then set the "Specific Thread Count" to a value like 8.
- Make sure the correct version of C4D is set, especially if you are submitting from one version but expecting to pick up jobs on another.
- By default, Qube! will not retry failed frames. So set the "Retry frame/instance" value to 3 or 5, to get 3 or 5 retries before it gives up. Related to that, the default wait between retries is zero seconds, which is typically not useful. Set the "Retry Work Delay" to a value like 5 or 10 to allow machines time to recover from problems like temporary network errors.
- On Windows, Cinema4D always returns success, even if the job fails, so you should look at the "regex_errors" box and add any lines to it that you can use to reliably know a frame has failed.
